So what is it… and what does it do? Karbolic is labeled as an intra workout carbohydrate source supplement. It is recommended to be taken during or after workouts but it’s been described as more of a pre workout supplement because of its fast reacting properties. About 1 hr before your workout, take a serving so that you can get carbohydrates in and get that energy stored in your muscles.

Karbolic is a very different carbohydrate supplement. It’s not a dextrose and not a pure waxy maize. In fact, it’s actually a proprietary blend of a long, medium and short chain polysaccharides from potatoes, rice, Corn, Corn Dextrin, Taurine, Trimethylglycine, Polyglucose (Rice Starch), Lecithin, (From Soy) Carrageenan and Pterosport™ (A Proprietary Extract Of Mixed Stilbenoids From Vitis Viniferina. Pterosport™ is an extra ingredient they put in to uptake or digest the carbs more efficiently and it is also an antioxidant. In simple terms, it’s a fast, slow and medium digesting or simulating mix of carbohydrates.
1 scoop will give you 200 calories, 50 carbohydrates, B vitamins, magnesium, zinc and biotin, a very generous blend of electrolytes and phosphates to restore electrolytes.

It is recommended to take 1 scoop at the middle of your workout which serves you with 50 carbs. Personally I think 100 carbs is too much and too heavy for the stomach which could lead to you getting sick so 1 scoop is perfect for intra workout.
Post workout I recommend taking 2 scoops depending on your body weight. If you are over 200 pounds take 100 carbs. You can add creatine, or amino acids or any other supplement because it comes in a flavourless option but there are other flavours as well.
Price wise its reasonable for the size and the size to price ratio is standard pricing. I would add a little more water than a pre workout because its a carb supplement, but it mixes quick and easy with no clumps and minimal foam.

Another great Carbohydrate supplement giving you a 50 gram serving with 50 grams of carbohydrates.
It contains zero sugar, zero fat and zero protein but that doesn’t mean zero gains.
There are no chunky bits when being mixed and that is what makes this product so great.
Like Karbolic, the sources of carbohydrates are derived from potatoes, rice and corn, but what makes it different to Karbolic is the Homopolysaccharides.
It is already a fairly complex carbohydrate so in terms of long lasting energy its great. It’s stimulant free so there are no sudden shock waves of energy levels accompanied by sudden drops.
The chemical potential energy of this product is great and has been so well designed. This special formula is what your body actually wants to use to make energy. One great feature is that studies have shown that KARBOLYN absorbs a lot faster, 18.21% faster than dextrose, which leads to faster glycogen replenishment.
Why is this so important?
Well for the exact reason that entrance athletes or beginners that train in high volume for a long time can utilise a supplement like this. For example MMA fighters have had really great reviews on the product especially for long training days with weight training and a few hours of fighting where glycogen replenishment is very important.

Speed of deliverance is a lot faster than majority carbohydrate supplements. It breaks down a lot quicker and mixes better. Best part is there is no bloating and all this makes it a superior carbohydrate supplement.
It can be taken as a pre workout for energy production, an Intra for constantly delivering fast absorbing carbs to the body or post workout to kick off the recovery process. It can be used as a meal replacement and mixed with a protein shake.
There are a variety of flavours but the recommended choice is flavourless to get you more mixing options.
There have been less research reviews done on the product, so there are less definitive results given. One of the only negatives is that it doesn’t mix as well as the KARBOLIC and if it sits in shaker for a little while then it gathers at the bottom.
KARBOLYN is however well priced at $1.22 per serving where as KARBOLIC is a little more pricier.
With regards to the Glycemic index, KARBOLYN is higher than KARBOLIC.
Overall the two products are very similar and have been manufactured in very similar processes with the same ingredients except for one or two added ingredients in KARBOLYN.
With all the reviews I have read and research done I would say both products are worth taking as a carbohydrate supplement so it would come down to the price at the end of the day and that would make KARBOLYN the superior product of the two.
